Description for Ford Other 1935

1935 Ford Model 48 Deluxe 3-Window Coupe Beautiful and recent frame-off restored 3W coupe finished in Washington Blue over Brown! Correct 221ci Flathead and loaded with options! Very authentic and a splendid driver! Most enthusiasts will agree that Ford had a hard time outdoing themselves in 1935. The 1932-34 Fords were immensely popular and the FoMoCo executives knew they had tough shoes to fill for 1935. With a further recessed fascia. more integrated running boards and a new “Center-poise” seating position. the 1935 model year ditched the 4-cylinder and offered solely Flathead V8 power. Continuing on the legacy. Ford outsold Chevrolet in 1935 and went on to sell some 820. 00 Model 48s in a plethora of body styles in both standard and Deluxe trim levels. Of those. the two-doors and in particular the 3-window coupe proved to be both stylish and very desirable. Ford moved 31. 13 Deluxe 3-Window Coupes in 1935 and they continue to be popular today. especially in non-modified original condition! We are thrilled to offer this beautiful 1935 Ford Model 48 Deluxe 3-Window Coupe! Finished in a desirable shade of Washington Blue with a red pinstripe. this 3-window is nicely complemented with a dark brown interior. The car features a correct 221ci Flathead V8 with 21 stud heads and Stromberg 48 carburetion mated to a three-speed floor-shifted manual transmission. Upon glancing at the exterior. you will immediately notice a host of nice options and accessories including: front & rear bumperettes. front grille guard. twin chrome Spartan CL-4 horns. dual side-view mirrors. locking “Ford” gas cap. “Ford” exhaust turn down tip. full-size rear-mount spare and gorgeous red wire wheels with “V8” hubcaps. trim rings and Firestone Deluxe Champion 6. 00-18 gum-dipped whitewall tires. Inside. the frills continue with a windshield wiper. twin visors. painted dash and window surrounds. dome light. rear sunshade. rubber floor mat. 3-spoke polished banjo steering wheel. heater. and AM radio with top speaker. This car is coming out of a prominent New Jersey collection and was completely frame-off restored by the former owner. The paint. trim. vinyl top and chrome are spectacular and not a single piece on the top of the car was left untouched. The blue paint is thick and glossy and finished in a modern base coat/clear coat style that will last the life of the car. Under the hood. you will find correct Ford radiator hoses. Champion spark plugs. new motor mounts and freshly detailed bay with correct gloss and semi-gloss finishes where appropriate. Inside the cabin. the chocolate mohair has seen only minimal use and shows like-new. The door window surrounds and dash have been painted in a lovely shade of gray that really brings the interior together. In the true spirit of 1935. the windshield pops out and the rear third window rolls down. The radio control bezel. shift lever. hand brake. interior door handles and hood vent lever have been polished as well. The car shows 42. 47 miles. which may be original to the chassis but we have no way of verifying. What we can tell is that tremendous amounts of time and money were spent making this a correct and authentic restoration of one of Ford’s most attractive 1930s models.
