Finished in Blazing Cooper and Desert Pearl this amazing rest-o-mod Mustang went through a full bodyoff no expense spared transformation to make it the car you see here! This 65 started life as a rust free 57. 00 original mile Vintage Burgundy Metallic 289 V8 with a 3 speed transmission. Our client wanted to enhance the cars base performance with more modern upgrades. Starting with the body it was stripped to bare metal. the front quarter panels. doors. hood. trunk. nose. glass. front and rear valance and interior were removed. The entire car was then prepped with Chroma Premier 4004S primer/filler and then sealed with Chroma Premier 4210S. The car was then painted with Dupont Hot Hues Blazing Copper (top half) Desert Pearl (bottom half and interior) and then pinstripped with Molten Orange Candy Hot Pinstripe EFX. The car was then clear coated with Chroma Premier 72200S. Every area of this car was painted! The original 289 V8 was replaced with a newer Mustang Cobra 5. 0 fuel injected V8 with the complete ECM/ECU management system and cold air intake. The battery box was relocated to the driver side to allow the cold air to work with the Mustangs grill with no other modifications needed. The chrome alternator. radiator and serpentine belt make this car run nice and cool with plenty of power! The original 3 speed transmission was replaced with a 5 speed transmission with a hurst shifter. the car retains the original 8 inch rear which was rebuilt with new 380 gears. The interior is just as nice as the exterior. All new door panels. seats. steering wheel. gauges and retro stereo make this car as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. The stereo system is driven by Kenwood amp with 9 inch speakers in front and 6x9 in the rear deck. A special deck was built in the trunk to mount the equipment as well as the ECU and simple wiring harness along with an added steel plate for added protection for the rear passengers. An original Ford AC unit was installed and blows ice cold! The suspensionwas also enhanced to be able to handle the new power. A disc brake conversion was completed as well as lowered springs. The BG Goorich tires kepp this fantastic Mustang on the ground and are brad new! This car tood 2 years to complete and has been driven only 800 miles since then. It was featured in a 2010 Dupont calander. We have the original owners manual with the orignal owners information. Pictures do not do this car justice!
