Description for Ford Mustang 1966

One Family Owned - 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe -Factory Emberglo Coupe - a rare, sought after colour - stunner in the sunlight!
My father purchased the car brand new in 1966.Dealer installed special ordered items: Fog Lights in grill (not currently hooked up), Vinyl Top, Spinner Cap Hubcaps, and centre console.
Car has been garage kept for the last 40 years and only driven to local car shows and mustang club events in sunny summer weather.Car did receive recognition at the MCA shows in Canada and was featured several times in local publications and Performance World Car Shows.
Car was re-painted factory - Emberglow - in the late 70's. Paint shows very well for age with only a few small chips and one scratch (2") on rear drivers quarter panel.Vinyl Top is in "Like-New" condition. no visible cracks, bubbles, or defects. There is no visible rust on or in the paintFenders and wheel wells are visually solid.Body, floor boards, rockers are visually solid.Interior is complete and in great shape. It is original and very well maintained. We often get asked if it has been re-done its so perfect! All gauges work properly.Chrome is excellent for her age. Meticulously polished and protected over the winter months.Very sound mechanically - I have no issues driving it around town to local shows or the ice cream parlour withfamily.Rebuilt Carb - runs very smooth.Car comes with all original documents - ford dealership bill of sale, original manual, and other documentation we have dating back to 1966.A lot of the original chalk marks, and Ford assembly line stickers and details are still visible on this car - Still has the original truck sticker for jack instructions.Comes with full size spare and original truck liner.
In 2013 I wanted to make sure the car was in tip top shape to take my wife and 3 year old daughter to car shows and grab ice cream etc... I had well known Peter Klutt and his team at Legendary Motorcar go over the car from top to bottom.Recent work by Legendary Motorcar:Rebuilt and beautifully restored, matching numbers engine.Detailed inspection and general once over on the complete car.Break job and mechanical inspection.New belts and hoses.

This car has been a sibling for many years and it will be missed but it is time to move on and start saving for my daughters future! If not local I would recommend viewing the car or contacting the Golden Horseshoe Mustang Association to have a local club member inspect the car for you.
