I am pleased to offer this highly original/unrestored 1962 Ford Fairlane 500 Sports Coupe. The sports coupe were the only models that came with buckets and a console. VIN # is 2R47L144324 and mileage is 79,XXX +/- original miles.

Never been painted or restored – fantastic preservation class candidate. Car is presented by the third owner from new. Paperwork goes back to 1964 or 65.

According to my research, production #’s are only 19,628 sport coupes produced during the production run in the 1960’s.

Car features a 221 Challenger V8 with 2 speed automatic trans. Wheels have been updated to gray center mags but original steel wheels with hubcaps are included.

Owner added a custom dual exhaust system, new intake and valve cover gaskets, new sway bar bushings. Owner checked and repaired brakes as needed, repacked front wheel bearings. Replaced the hood insulation with NOS Ford part.

Owner had the car out recently and it drives great without any issues (see videos). Owner also notes that this was a California car for most of its life leading to a beautiful rust-free body.

Valuation:

Concours – $29,200

Excellent – $23,800

Good – $13,200

Fair – 5,100
