Description
1988 GMC Sierra 1500 Stepside GMT-400 Reg CabOkay, everybody, it took a little over two and a half years to build my baby. Now I know we do this because we do it for our satisfaction, but the time has come for me to sell. I have all the build receipts for the most part in a 4-inch ring binder and a picture binder, and all documentation, including Carfax and Vin-search.This 1988 GMC 1500 Sierra (GMT-400) is a custom-built pickup. The upgraded White with gold flake paint strikes the right balance, where it retains a high gloss in the sunshine. The sleek Stepside bed makes this an intimidating pickup; it gives this that same kind of attitude that other people look for in great pickups. The tasteful Camel and Tan interior is a nice choice against the White exterior. The contoured leather bucket seats, grey headliner, and plush carpeting make it a good-looking package. Most of the interior has been lined with “Kilmat” sound deadener. With a mean-looking, upgraded, strong 5.3 Ltr V8 power plant, with polished aluminum heads, high torque cam, like throttle body injection, a large pressurized aluminum radiator with twin cooling fans. The A/C is running on modern R134a refrigerant with a new H/D compressor. The engine was broken in slowly using Castrol Edge with Zinc and changed every 1000 miles for the first 5,000 miles. This engine is mated to a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission with w/overdrive and a custom-built schedule 80 drive shaft coupled to a 3.73 Yukon Positrac rear end. Custom exhaust.BorgesonStreet and Performance Series SteeringPower steering(12.7:1 Ratio), power brakes, front and rear discs.New Michelin Pilot Sport All Season Tires (275/40 R20 106Y XL BSW) on Vision Brawlers 20X9 5-127.00 10 CHCHXX chrome wheels and Bilstein shocks. There are fun driver-ready upgrades like the GMC woodgrain and chrome sports steering wheel on the tilt column and Dakota Electronic gauges. Plus, the radio has been upgraded to “Retro Sound ”AM/FM stereo with modern Bluetooth, hands-free with a microphone, and satellite can be added.Multiple Power Supplies in the center dash with a voltage meter, center console with plenty of storage.Bucket seats are out of a 2010 Cadillac CTS fully electric and mounted on Corbeauracing seat mounts. All the wiring was done by a robotics engineer who has been doing it for over 18 years. We moved the ECM to the engine compartment and cleaned up all the wiring inside the dash. This is not your typical engine job where you see wires dangling all over the place. So, please do yourself a favor and if you are looking for a great truck,
