2 OWNER SOUTHERN SOUTH CAROLINA JEEP CHEROKEE 4X4 LAREDO!!!

This Jeep is actually one that I bought from a friend who owned it since 2006. He was the 2nd owner, so it has ONLY had two registered owners. This is not some junk mud jeep that has been abused - it has had an easy family life :) This Jeep is truly a diamond in the rough - I think it looks awesome, and has a great patina! The tires are great, the interior is very good for the age (the headliner fabric is sagging a bit however), the body is excellent, the paint is dull, and the engine runs great! Unfortunately, the vehicle overheats after about 20 minutes. I bought this Jeep to fix and play with but I have not had the time to work on it much. I did perform a leak down test and compression test to verify that the engine was not toasted, and it is not. I cannot tell you what else is needed to fix it, but, based upon the longevity and sheer determination of these great engines, I'm sure it would not take a whole lot more digging to make her run right. The 4x4 does engage, however, the front differential gears are toast. You can drive it just fine in 2wd - there are no odd noises or problems with driving it that way. But 4x4 does not work, so be warned. Lastly, after sitting for about 5 months, the alternator has stopped putting out, it seems. So it will also need that.
