I am offering this 1982 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler for auction. It has many great attributes but personally. I feel it is a "project" Jeep. As much as I would like to take on the task of restoring it. I don't have the time at this point. Mechanically. it is a sound vehicle. It's in good running condition. No problems with 4 wheel drive or transmission. It has brand new 31x10 50R15LT Goodyear Wrangler tires on it. It has a 238 Buick V6 engine with an Elderbrock Performer 4 barrel aluminum intake with a Holley Performance 4 barrel carburator. This jeep does have power steering. a fuel cell. and the doors remove with ease. (The roof will as well). This vehicle has been in the family for 18 years and has been a "fun" vehicle. but the time has come to either restore it or sell it. I am advertising it with a low reserve price. lower than what I have been advised I should ask for it but I took into consideration the work and time I would personally put into restoring it and the value/price of my time if I were to keep it.
