Mercedes 300SD Turbo Diesel Low Miles West Coast Car W123

Description

1983 300 SD, rought this car in from Washington State but I believe it spent its life in California. Car is super clean, ero rust. The car has a re-spray at some point and looks good, ertainly not a grand concourse paint job but very respectable. Car has chrome mercedes wheels and tinted windows. Tires are michelin primacy and have loads of tread remaining. All of the brightwork on the car is in very good condition and the car spends it time in the garage covered. I tried to open the sunroof once, t started to go back but when it slowed down, got scared and closed it. I believe it works it will just take someone more courageous than I to open it fully, ube it without fear of it getting stuck open.
Interior of the car is true to the mileage. All of the leather and vinyl are in great shape, o tears, o cracks. Some of the woodwork has fogged finish and the console wood has some chips. Carpets and floor mats are top notch. Dash cover is clean, o splits or crack. At some point the previous owner installed an aftermarket stereo which comes on in "demo" mode and I never did mess with it long enough to get it to play. There are also aftermarket speakers in the rear window tray which I unplugged because they "hummed" and some more stereo stuff in the truck that I never messed with either, n amplifier and subwoofer. Power antennae is not working. Power mirror passenger side works fine, river side is manual. Vacuum locks and power windows work fine.
The car runs and drives excellent. If you have ever owned one of these cars you understand that they are no performance beasts! But these cars cruise nicely and get 30 mpg with no restrictions on emissions! The car steers, tops and handles nicely, omfy coil springs all around. All the gauges work. A/C works but needs that Springtime recharge to be ice cold and for some reason heat and air blow only through defroster and foot well even when on A/C. Auto fan button does work well as does thermometer dial.
