Rare European specification diesel station wagon recently imported from Japan. Fairly low miles - 247k kilometers works out to about 153k miles. The USA-specification 1980's 300D / 300TD have an avid following. By 1991 Mercedes had evolve the OM603 motor for greater reliability. If you want a more simple mechanical diesel engine this is the one to have. A great alternative to a Volkswagen Passat or Jetta Tdi wagon or other more modern BMW diesel or Mercedes Bluetech CDI.
Drivetrain: Rugged OM603 3.0 liter 6-cylinder turbo-diesel. Recent Michelin tires. Runs and drives nearly like new.
Interior: Very nice shape. Non-smoker with excellent original cloth interior; uncracked dash; and the rest of the interior is very nice. 3rd row seat folds flat into the floor when not needed - or seats 7 when you need it. Does have some hazing and cracks in the wood-veneer particularly aft of the shift-lever. Lamps all work; power windows work well; power Sunroof works; power antenna works; all lamps work. Issues: Cruise Control, AC and tachometer not working.
Exterior: Garage kept and in great shape. Right front fender repainted at some point; small damage on left-rear fender has localized rust; some small areas where paint clear-coat has aged (see photos).
Everything you need to license in WA (or other state) if you want to do so yourself. Included forms: DOT HS-7 / EPA 3520-1 / Signed and stamped Customs 7501 / Japanese de-registration document with English translation. Can supply WA title for $400 + the requisite wait for DMV (est. 4-weeks).
