I have owned this 450SL since 1997, I am the second owner. With less than 50,000 miles on the odometer, this is a babied, low mileage sweetheart of a car. You will note from the pictures that it has a convertible as well as a hard top. It has been in storage each winter since I bought it and covered and garaged when it is not driven. Horror of horrors if it should see a little rain. The engine and transmission are strong and before I bought it, I research this car and read a description which said that in Germany the 450 is called "panzervagen" or "iron car" and the engine "may get a little loose at 1 million miles". I am of the age when it is time to pass it on to another appreciating and loving owner.
