FANTASTIC 1987 MERCEDES BENZ 560SL 24K MILES 560 SL

I purchased this car in December 2017 from the original owner who purchased it new from our local Mercedes Benz dealer on May 11, 1987. It had 22,000 miles when I bought it. It now has 23,856 miles. All service is up to date and everything works fine. The A/C blows cold, the window and lock mechanisms function normally and all the lights work. There are no dash warning lights on and all the gauges function perfectly. It runs and drives like new with a nice, tight feel. It shifts perfectly and there is no smoke. This is a beautiful example that was never driven in bad weather. There is no rust. All of the floor pans, rockers and undercarriage are rock solid. The chrome and stainless trim is in amazing condition without pits. The original soft top is like new with only minor hazing to the plastic windows which is normal for its age. The hard top is like new. All the gaskets are in beautiful condition and there are no top leaks.There is no accident history. All of the body panels are original to the car and the paint is in beautiful condition and shines like a mirror. Recent services include master cylinder and ABS pump rebuilds, Transmission Service, Oil/Filter change, new cap/rotor/plugs and a fresh detail. I would not hesitate to drive this car cross-country.When I purchased it, there were some scratches along both sides which necessitated some paint repair. This was done by a highly reputable classic restoration shop and they did a wonderful job. There is no orange peel and the color match is spot on.If you are looking for a wonderful example of a classic 560SL, this car will be hard to beat.
