This ground up restoration was finished in a bright red paint scheme that gets this car noticed even when it's sitting still, But let's not get caught up on just the good looks of this car! Lurking under the hood is a fresh (rebuilt) '95 LT1 Corvette Engine. The engine cover pieces have been painted to match the color of the Coupe and the finned aluminum valve covers give it that cool classic hot rod look of the 50's. Backing up the 'Vette engine is a 4160E 4-speed automatic transmission allowing this Car to easily cruise the highway or perform quick blasts from stop light to stop light, depending upon the situation at hand. finishing out the Chevy drive train is a GM 10 bolt with a 3.55 gear ratio. A Fatman front/rear suspension has been added to give this Mercury with Ford wrap a much improved ride feel. Moving to the inside of this beautiful bright red street rod, you will be met by the tan leather interior. Red inserts have been added to accent the red exterior. An Alpine AM/FM stereo with CD player has just been added, just in case you get tired of the sweet sound of the mufflers purr' from the stout LT1 engine. A Vintage Air AC system has been added, so not only do you look cool cruising down the boulevard, but you stay cool.
The modern tilting telescopic steering column and dash have been color matched to the exterior and filled VDO gauges to keep track the critical engine functions. An Ididid Steering column has been added for good looks and control of the coupe. A painless wiring system takes care of the electrical needs of this custom '47 Mercury with Ford wrap. Both locks on the doors are on remote poppers. So getting into this is as easy a push of a button on the remote. It also gives an added bit of security when out and need to leave the coupe unattended.
