Description

1972 MGB classic in need of a complete restoration. Engine barely starts if you feed gas directly to carbs, so without question this MGB needs a complete engine rebuild, convertible rag top is expired (frame is working), drivers side fender should be replaced. This car would make a good base for a full restoration or possibly made into a vintage race car.
Because of the work needed the new owner may decide to use it as a parts car. The gas tank has rust inside so if this MGB is restored, it would need a new gas tank installed. I took the original gas tank out (only 9 bolts hold the tank) and have not reinstalled since it is clogged up with rust. A new one delivered from Moss Motors is about $200, see attached link:

Last month I installed new spark plugs, distributor rotor, condenser, points, distributor cap, and spark plug wires.
A previous owner seems to have had the entire bottom of the car undercoated which has helped this car survive the weather elements.
I believe the car has about 98,000 miles on it but I cannot confirm this.
This car is NOT driveable so new owner would need to trailer it.
