1961 Austin Mini Deluxe. Nickname 2 ShillingsFully documented with Heritage certificate.All port of entry documentation.Complete records of every dollar spent.Restoration fully documented in picture catalog.Bought in 2004 and frame off restoration began.Restoration completed in 2014.Only 500 miles on restoration.Around $50,000.00 invested.
The glory of taking so long to do a restoration is many of the parts on this car were not available when I started. I have to say I do not think there is a part the suppliers offer that is not on my car.I was able to defeat the inherent problems in the A+ engine such as breathing, overheating and crank vibration.Sub frames are powder coated and reinforced.All rust removed and metal replaced.Upgraded brakes, Cooper on rear and 8" disc on front.Fully adjustable suspension with gas shocks.Rear sway bar.
