This is an extremely rare factory original Reliant Spring Special. It is in excellent running condition with everything working, ncluding the AC. There has never been any rust, he low miles are original ( not turned over! ) and the history is known of this vehicle from day 1. My research and conversations with folks in the know indicated that there were 250 Spring Specials in 4 color combinations planned for production in early spring of 1982, ut that this version, n this factory color combination, which was shown in all ads and literature for this model ), ay have been the only type actually produced, n an approximate amount of 75 cars. This is an original numbers matching Spring Special, s verified by the paint and option codes as shown in one of the pictures.
This rust and damage free car has been repainted professionally once in it's original colors and combination. The headliner and interior are excellent, ith evidence of a small repair in factory Day star Blue vinyl on the driver's seat back. The only indication of a repair is the seam being different on the edge than how it is on the passenger side. The color match is perfect. The carpet is like new, nd there is no damage on any door panels or other interior sections...does have some age cracks on steering wheel. The driver's side underdash has a rare factory wire loom cover on the driver's side, hich I was told was a feature of the Spring Special only...see the picture... This car also has the rare pedal dress-up kit with it's chrome trim. Other options include Air, utomatic, ruise, elay wipers, M/FM Stereo, nbsp;Bucket seats, ally wheels, nd more...take a look at the pic that shows the window sticker. It is not the original one from the car, ut an accurate recreation listing the equipment and original retail costs. This neat car was created back in the time of the 55 mph speed limit and gets great gas mileage.
The 13" whitewall tires are like new, n the car's original rally wheels. The front rotors and pads are recent, nd the car has been maintained as needed over the years. This is truly a one of a kind car and might be the only original Spring Special left in existence today. If you are into Kcars or 80's vintage survivor cars, his rare one is for you. You will never seen another. It has been entered into car shows over the years, ith some nice wins. This is not some barn car, ut has been started and run on a regular basis and always garage kept. It runs good and will be a hit anywhere you take it.
