1965 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, 4,817 Original Miles!!!

I'm sure everyone will open this to see who in their right mind thinks their truck has 4,800 original miles... well, thought the same thing when my buddy from Red Lodge, T called me to tell me that some friend of his that owned a hotel was going to sell an FJ40 they have. Here is the background on this beauty...

It was bought new in '65 by the Yodeler Motel in Red Lodge, ontana, ho put a plow on it and used it to plow their 30 parking places at the hotel; just to note I have had the frame completely checked out and it is straight with no kinks of any sort. He told me that it never left the hotel lot other than for services. I did a little checking around, alking to other Red Lodge residents who all say that is a true story. The hotel was sold several years ago and the new owners purchased a tractor to plow the lot. I'm not exactly sure what happened but the new owners thought they would have the motor checked out, hich is a real bummer because it looks like it was sprayed. It runs like a watch, hifts good, rives good. It retains its original motor and trans. It does have some rust in the rear seal, ockers and driver floor pan(which was patched some years ago). At some point someone gave it a less than show quality paint job. The interior is the original paint though. We reupholstered the seats, ut a new headliner in and pulled out some not so fancy carpet that was glued down to the floor in the back; maybe thats what saved the floor from rusting? Who knows. This beauty has some cool history and deserves a good owner who will treat her right and maybe bring her back to her glory days.
