Description
1988 Toyota SR5 Ext Cab 4WD Black EFI with the front rollbar bumper. This is an awesome classic truck. It runs great and drives great. Bought it as a project truck to restore and use for summer driving. Recently got a new job where I have to commute long distances in the winter, and now I need a daily driver instead. Don't want to expose this baby to Vermont highway salt. Power steering, windows, cruise control, automatic, 4 wheel drive (4X4),22R-EC engine.
UPDATES:-It recently passed inspection in Vermont, which has one of the most thorough inspection processes in the US.- Spent $3500 updating it this summer: replaced front windshield, both fenders, painted fenders and hood, replaced front headlights, updated with gas magnum rear shocks. The frame had some rust when I purchased it. Entire frame was repaired and covered with fiberglass bonding undercoating. In Vermont, a frame doesn't pass inspection if it has rust issues.
HIGHLIGHTS:- One of the most reliable engines ever made - 22R-EC- Classic 4X4 Model- Low milage for age 142,000-- will go forever- Bed cover is in great condition.- Sunroof
NEEDS- The heater fan is strong, but does not blow hot.- Driver window works fine, passenger window gets stuck going up.-The dash has some cracks, that were filled in with a bonding material - a new dashboard can be purchased for about $100.- Radio does not work.- Will need exhaust updated at some point.- Bed has some dings and dents
I now need to drive to work most days and this truck really shouldn't be on salted roads in the winter, it's my dream truck and I want it in good hands.
