BLACK CLOTH TOP, TONNEAU COVER, AND SIDECURTAINS. 4-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE. 48-SPOKE CHROME WIRE WHEELS. 1 OF ONLY 276 PRODUCED, WITH FEW REMAINING. A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR. VERY NICE OLDER RESTORATION.

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very nice restored and original Swallow Doretti. This car is 1 of only 276 units produced in 1954 and 1955. It received a ground-up, body-off-the-chassis restoration by its previous owner approximately 10-12 years ago, and is still presenting very well today in an attractive color scheme.

This car is believed to be a local California car from new, and spent the latter part of its life in the city of Pasadena. It is a highly original example with i's unique details paid close attention to during the restoration. Features of the full restoration include new bodywork and paint, newly re-plated original chrome-work, re-trimmed interior, new black cloth top, tonneau cover, and side curtain set, completely rebuilt chassis and driveline, new wiring harness, windshield, rebuilt instruments, etc.

This extremely rare and pretty example is a scarce offering in this current market. Even rarer is that this a matching numbers motorcar, as most others have had their original Triumph TR-2 engine changed out long ago. It is sold with a spare 5th chrome wire wheel, a full tool kit, wheel changing kit, jack, and side screen set in the bag. This nicely restored car is very good value, and will prove to be a wise investment going forward.
