For sale: $5250 OBO. 1973 Volkswagen Beetle.
Built 1776cc engine. Dual weber 44 IDF carbs. Bigger exhaust system as well. External oil filter and external oil cooler with electric fan. Added a tachometer too. Around 35k on the engine. Car's Odomenter says 24k for body. But it is a 5 digit OD.
Built pro-street transmission. New, nly 4 months old. New shifter and linkage bushings as well. Rigid tranismission mount with stabilizer bar across rear of engine.
Disk brakes up front with 2 1/2 drop spindles. Rear drums in back. Rear suspinsion was re-indexed to be lowered 2 inches. Heavy duty swaybar up front.
New tires up front, nly 5 months old, nd brand new tires on the rear.
Have not touched the interior since I bought it. Had it for 6 years under my care.Mechanically sound and visually appealing. Garage kept and well taken care of.
