The Giulietta Sprint Speciale was a more upscale version of the normal Sprint and featured a smooth, -door gran turismo body by Bertone. In the efforts to make the SS as light as possible, he wheelbase was made four inches shorter than the Sprint's. Since it was intended for competition use, he SS only had room for two people and a limited amount of storage for luggage. However, his allowed the cabin to be much more spacious than the four-seat Sprint.
According to the Alfa Romeo Historic Motoring department, he car offered here, hassis number AR 381227 originally corresponds to Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale (101.21), ngine series AR 00121 - Manufactured on the 14th of September 1964 and sold on April 20, 965 to Alfa Romeo Inc., ewark USA. and was painted white body color from the factory.
Accessories and items include a radio delete option, orrani vented wheels, nd the unique alloy plenum and air box - considered 'regular' 105 Veloce items, ut were equipped on the later Speciales. Being a Giulia 1600cc model it also features the desirable front disc brakes. Additionally, ll body numbers are present on the front hood, ear decklid hinge, nd firewall. The car also retains its correct and original engine.
The older paintwork shows minor flaws but is overall very presentable as a driver quality nicely suited for a touring candidate, hile the interior upholstery appears fairly recent and luxuriously tailored. Both engine and trunk compartments remain tidy and clean.
It continues to be one of the most recognizable and collectable post-war Alfa Romeos to date. This car, orrect numbers-matching in original color is ready for continued spirited use and worldwide delivery.
