Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very honest and nice BT-7 2+2 Roadster. This car was recently purchased locally here in a California inland valley from it’s past older owner of the last 12 years, and is just about completely rustfree. Receipts and other documentation show the car lived here at least as far back as the early 80’s. In 2002, the car received an extensive cosmetic and mechanical restoration, including a rebuilt engine and gearbox. The car runs and drives superbly, and has mellowed nicely into very good, approachable, usable condition.The chassis and body on this car is extremely well-preserved, living here in Southern California for all of it’s life. The body is super solid, original, and straight with great gaps and good door fit. The underchassis is completely rustfree and superb showing original floors, trunkfloor, outriggers, etc., all solid and beautifully original ! The modest paintwork still presents well for it’s 16 years of age, but is now showing some paint touch-ups, a few light scrapes, dings/dents. Grille fit is excellent, showing no frontal damage/repairs, a vulnerable spot on these cars…This car is very attractive and crisp from 10 feet and would serve perfectly fine as a car to leave right now and just enjoy. Brightwork is excellent and the windshield glass is fine.The car’s black interior trim shows comfortable vinyl seats with matching panel kit, very nice carpets, original vinyl covered dashboard facia and top pad, a near-new quality soft top, good condition tonneau cover. The original sidecurtain set is also provided.Mechanically the car is excellent, having a specialist rebuild on the engine and gearbox with documentation in 2002. The car starts, runs, drives, shifts extremely well with a superb sound out of it’s Monza free flow exhaust system. We will be uploading a video soon.Overall, a perfect driver Big Healey to own and enjoy in it’s older restored and approachable condition. This desirable 3000 Roadster has lived a garaged life here in Southern California with documentation showing plenty of care and maintenance over the last 35+ years, and is a fantastically well-preserved, solid, straight, and clean specimen.
