Description for Austin Mini Cooper 1963
This 1965 Mini Cooper S is an original examplewith the exception of the interior. It was put into a dry storage and was recently returned to running condition (please see photos and list of work done below). The original redpaint has faded but the body panels are straight and it has nice patina to it.
The 4 mini lights wheels has been sand blasted and powder coded. It has a dual fuel tanks with turn off valve. Contact-less points, Oil cooler, K&N air filters, 1 ¼” S U dual carburetors, Long pine exhaust manifold, single straight Troy muffler and Performance cam believed to be 7:4 rally cam
The Mini interior has been completely done recently, though headliner will require replacement (the original door cards and some other miscellaneous parts are available with the purchase - please see photo Gallery)
The 1275cc transverse-mounted inline-fouris mated to a 4-speed transmission and it pull very strong, though it experiences some hesitation when cold (Does not idle right maybe due to a leaking manifold gasket or in a need of one of the carburetor’s overall - parts has been ordered and problem will be solved upon delivery of the vehicle).
Recent reconditioning included:
· New break cylinder
· New left hand rack
· New track rods ends
· New engine stabilizer bushings
· New engine and transmission mount bolts
· New break lines from master cylinder to power break
· New spark plugs
· Fresh oil change + filter
· New distributor cap

The underside has some corrosion, and some rust-induced pinholes only at the corners are visible in the floor pans, which are detailed in gallery pictures. Some surface corrosion isalso present on the sub frame assemblies, and some fluid leakage is visible thus need plates to be welded all 4 corners of floor pans. Rubber bushing at front suspension may need replacing. All 4 tires are old and are race tires. Horn is working but need a hook up.
