The car currently has a clear title in the State of Kansas. This classic BMW looks and runs fantastic. It reads approximately 45. 00 Kilometers (appx 28. 00 miles) on the speedometer and is accurate to the best of our knowledge. In a day when cars all start to look the same. this car really grabs attention. Rare: It is rare due to the fact that only 874 cars like it were produced. and many are no longer on the road. There are very few that are in the condition of this classic BMW. The overall facts: The car runs great with no engine or transmission issues. The AC does not work at this time but could be restored by a qualified mechanic. We listed it as a 3. 0 CS AND 2. 5 CS because of the way it was badged. The engine shows a 2. 5 CS but the badge is a 3. 0 CS and we are unsure if that is just the way it was imported or if it was changed later. I'm guessing a BMW enthusiast will know the answer and we would love to hear from you. When they tell you that cars were owned by little old ladies. well in this case it was owned by an older gentleman who passed away. He took extremely good car of the car and it was always garaged. Interior: The interior looks great and all original materials were used in that part of the restoration. It looks fantastic for a 40 year old car. The driver's seat is a Recaro seat. The radio does work and the clock was restored as well when the work was done on the car. Exterior: The car has new paint which matches the original color of the car. It shines and looks fantastic. There is no rust we could find on the car. The glass is clear and appears to be original to the car. The underside of the car has been detailed. Engine: It has a 4-speed 2. 5 liter engine that runs perfectly. It also has two Solex carbs. It really runs well and the mechanic who did maintenance loved driving the car. The Price: We have seen cars as rare as this go for much more than what we are seeking. The car does need an AC repair but overall it is in beautiful condition. It just needs a nice new home with a BMW fan who will ensure this car lasts for the next 40 years. Shipping: This car is only being offered for sale in the United States. If you wish to ship it out of the United States all transportation costs are yours to incur and we will not make any arrangements. The car is currently located in the Kansas City area and we highly advise you see this car before purchasing it on eBay.
