Description for BMW 3-Series 1994

PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION

For sale is my 1994 BMW 325i Convertible. Red with Tan leather, fully loaded for the year. 145,XXX miles.

This car has it's good points and it has it's not so good points. I am outlining them below:

THE GOOD:

Newer tires (at least 85-90 % tread left)

New brakes and rotors all the way around

New Convertible Top Motors

New Convertible Top

New Control Arm Bushings

New Struts/Suspension

New Thermostat

New Coolant Expansion Tank

New Air Mass Boot

New Radio Antenna

Great Transmission

2 Keys

All manuals

Body is solid, minor hair damage - no rust!

Over $6,000 in work put into this car in the last year. The parts alone (cough cough convertible top motors cough cough) are worth the starting price. Comes with allservice paperwork.

THE NOT SO GOOD:

Needs a new interior - leather is all heavily worn and damaged.

Convertible top motors do function, however, there is a sensor that needs to be replaced. Top needs to be operated manually until that sensor is fixed. Could be a simple adjustment.

The car overheated and it is slowly drinking antifreeze. I believe either the head is cracked or there is a gasket issue. The car does run, and can be driven in stints. Usually can go several hundred miles before you refill antifreeze. It has been sitting for a month or so now. I started it yesterday and it fires right up. It runs fine, I would not drive it for super long distances without further assessment.

This car sat for several years before all the major work was performed, and the steel belts in the tires went flat. When you get over 60 miles an hour, the car shakes, the mechanic has told me that it is from the steel belts needing to straighten themselves out again.

Radio thinks there is a tape in it when there is not.

Small cracks in windshield

The title is clear and in hand. Prior salvage title from a minor flood. For someone who knows BMWs, this would make a great restoration or a fantastic parts car - I am aware of the cost of what needs to be done still, I am also aware of the value of the parts on it.
