Description for BMW 6-Series 1989

We here at Terry Sayther's Vintage Bimmers in Austin Texas are selling our beautiful 1989 BMW 635 CSI. This is one of the final years of this chassis. The culmination of BMWs design process for this chassis. The car came to us from a customer and friend of the shop. It had a damaged door and was running rough. We've owned and cared for the car for several years. During that time have enjoyed taking it to local automotive meets over the course of the past 2 years while we brought it back to exceptional condition. We are now confident in it's state of health, and would like to see it out on the road with a new owner. We have replaced the damaged door, and had it professionally painted including blending the paint into the surrounding panels. The engine (M30B34) has been rebuilt and upgraded by the legendary Terry Sayther himself (longtime engine builder and shop owner in Austin Texas). The engine was rebuilt with high compression (10:1) using forged Ross Pistons, and a Schrick 272 cam. The engine has about 1,500 miles on it since the rebuild. The Automatic transmission shifts smooth and crisp. There are about 177k miles on the chassis. The interior is in really impressive shape. All maintenance items are up to date.
