Description for Plymouth Other 1941

Cool Custom 41 Plymouth Special Deluxe. Suicide Doors. Modern Subframe. 5k On Build350 GM V8. Turbo 400 Auto Transmission. drivetrain and subframe from a mid-70's Camaro. everything rebuilt for performance. Options include air conditioning. power brakes with front disc setup. power steering and modern stereo system. Performance upgrades include aluminum radiator. nbsp;exhaust system with headers and cherrybomb mufflers. stall converter. B&M shifter. custom Sun gauges and ladder bars in rear. No expense spared when engine was built; upgrades include mild cam. Edelbrock intake and carburetor. high output distributor and the list goes on. I did not build the car. the previous owner explained that all the engine internals were performance oriented (pistons. rings. heads bored. crankshaft stroked to 383. etc). I'm not a mechanic but I can say this old girl is fast; she will smoke the tires if you mash the pedal but still can cruise easily on the highway. The Plymouth has nearly $10k into the drivetrain alone. Mechanical: As I mentioned. the entire car as she sits now has just over 5000 miles on it. the car was completed in Summer 2012. That includes everything; hoses. belts. brakes. tires. suspension. exhaust. you name it. It's essentially an almost new car with 5400 miles on it. just hearing the engine and driving it makes it obvious. All the hardware for the a/c is present including the internal vents. it just needs some piping fabricated to go from the compressor to the condenser. The subframe was replaced as seen in the pix; everything was done professionally. The Plymouth passed N. H. A. inspection. paperwork included. Cosmetic: The paint has a nice metalflake finish. it glitters in the sun. It's a custom color. I have one can of extra paint that goes with the car with the paint codes. The flames are painted on and it has a protector under the gas cap in case of spillage. it can be removed with a heat gun if desired. The entire interior was redone as well. including carpet. original seats. door panels. headliner. NOS cloth-style weatherstripping around the doors. A lot of extra material for the seats are included. the visors were never done. they can be completed easily (they're in the trunk). The rear bumper was rechromed when the car was painted. The seats are very comfortable. new springs and cushioning material was installed when they were reupholstered. Custom fabricated dash and new glass all around. hood opens from inside with hood release and springs hold up the hood when opened. The interior is a nice mix of new and old; the window cranks still have the weighted handles. At a glance it's obvious that many hours of skilled customization went into this car. everything lines up perfectly. The engine starts easily even after sitting for weeks. it starts so easily you would think it's fuel injected; most of the time you don't even need to pump the gas before starting. She cruises nicely on the highway. shifts smoothly (unless you accelerate hard. then the stall converter kicks in). idles evenly with just a hint of the mild cam with a nice low growl from the exhaust. She's got a tight turning radius and handles incredibly well. it's probably the easiest-to-drive old car I've ever had. Completely roadworthy. the directional/brake/turn signal/headlights/brights work properly as well as the wipers. horn and heater/defrost. The Plymouth has won awards at car shows. I'm only selling due to finances. As seen in the pix. I'm also selling my 1941 Buick Special. New two tone paint. dual carbs. Fireball Straight-8. three on the tree. recent work on brakes (lines. hoses. cylinders. etc). exhaust and full tuneup as well as valve cover and other gaskets. All work done to the Buick was with the intention of getting it turn-key. the original starter setup still works; you push down fully on the accelerator to start the car. It's on the road. tagged and insured. all brake/signal/lights work including low and high beam and horn as well. The heater works. heater core hooked up but the switch is finicky. It was a "radio delete" car. I am including a year correct Buick AM radio with the sale I bought on Ebay. Also included are a full set of modern Buick seats. The seats you see up front are actually rear seats; they fit perfectly into the frame of the original seats. nothing was modified. I am including the original seats as well as two matching leather. power and heated front bucket seats if you want to convert over fully. The Buick runs surprisingly quiet and smooth. Modern radial tires with "port-o-wall" whitewall inserts. I am willing to hear reasonable offers on the Buick and would be willing to make a package for both the '41 Plymouth and the '41 Buick. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the Plymouth is for sale locally and I'm open to reasonable buy it now offers as well. I can assist with shipping in the USA or internationally if necessary. cost of shipping to paid by buyer. I can recommend a door to door auto shipper I've used in the past; they're professional. reliable and have great rates. Stunning classic Mopar which will only appreciate in value!
