Description for Buick Grand National 1987
Original Owner 1987 Buick Grand National with just 4899 miles! I purchased this when I was just 22 years old in March1988 (brand new). This is one of the last 300 built; production was run through December. This car has been continuously stored in a climate controlled garage.Looks and drives as new. Original Goodyear GT+4s. I had it professionally rustproofed at the time I bought it. I added some upgrades when I first got it: Kenne-Bell ram air kit Kenne-Bell adjustable fuel pressure regulator with hood-mounted fuel gauge and Kenne-Bell 70mm throttle body & intake. All original parts were retained and will be included in the sale in case you’d like to change it back.Imperfections of note:1. I just had a dealer visit and he commented that the paint on the hood and the fenders seems to have a slight metallic quality or aspect to it which the rest of the body does not have. All the paint is the original paint the car had when I bought it from the dealer back in 1988. The difference is quite subtle and you have to really examine those areas to see it. Just wanted to let you know in the spirit of full disclosure.
2. There is an area in the headliner above the driver's seat approx 8” in diameter where the fabric seems to not be adhered to the padding very well anymore compared with the rest of the headliner.
3. The body and paint are good except on the hood where I tried to replace the emblem after accidentally ripping it off with my wash rag. I super glued that part of the emblem and then later when I tried to remove the rest of the emblem I used rubbing alcohol to remove the adhesive residue but it removed some paint. See in photo. A good body shop will be able to put the area back to top condition. I have a new emblem.
