This 1933 Cadillac V8 Sedan is the pefect example of a Barn Find. We got a call from a gentleman who inherited a house in Florida with this Caddy in the garage from an Uncle who passed away eight years ago and he wanted to sell it. He was in Maryland and had not seen the house or the car for many years. We started first by having a neighbor take some preliminary pictures so we could both get an idea of its condition.
Removal was complicated by the fact that, ccording to the elderly neighbor, he uncle had sunk a steel pole into the ground so as to block access to the car as well as planting a tree next to the pole. The tree grew after many years and engulfed the pole.
We hired a local tow company to cut the steel pole and tree and drag out the Caddy. Living inside the car was a 7 foot Florida Rat snake! Apparently a good thing because all the wires are intact. One of the tow guys was a Licensed Florida Snake Handler and safely removed him and the car was shipped in an enclosed hauler to Los Angeles.
To preserve the integrity of the BARN FIND we are selling it exactly as we found it. It is currently not running but the engine is not frozen. It rolls and steers easily and the emergency brake works and holds. There is no key. It is 100% complete and even has all six hubcaps.
