Description for Cadillac DeVille 1967

This car is a cruiser. The original burgundy interior is in fair original condition. On a 1 to 10 scale. I would give the interior a 5. The dash. door panels. etc. are also in fair original condition but of course show signs of wear. The ashtray. and the two original flexible door handles have been replaced and are different colors. The ashtray is tan. the driver door handle (currently unattached) is black. and the passenger side door handle is brown. The original carpet is in fair condition. The seats and headliner are in fair condition but the driver seat has a 10”. 5”. and 3” rip in the seat and a 12” long scrape in the backrest. There is a visible 4” rip in the upper side of the driver’s backrest. which is currently taped. Buttons are missing from the upholstery in the front seats but the rear seats are complete and in good condition. The passenger side door lock will get stuck whenever the passenger door is closed with the door lock knob in the down or “locked” position. This requires a little manipulation (jiggling) of the door lock knob to get it unstuck. The weather-stripping and rubber parts are in good condition as they were replaced 18 years ago and I have kept the car garaged since the 20 years I’ve owned it. Tilt telescope wheel and sentinel lights work. All the power windows work (however the L/R motor is weak and requires a little manual assistance to get to the closed position). power seats are currently locked in one position and the switch needs repair. AM-FM radio works (however. it’s been bypassed in favor of an aftermarket sound system). Power antenna locked in one position. I would rate the exterior a 7. 0. Fourteen years ago I had the car repainted a color as close to the original flamenco red color as possible but in that time it experienced. small chips. scrapes. scratches. touch ups and what not. but still has a very nice appearance. The body is very nice and has no dents and no rust. The trim. bumpers. etc. are in fair shape as to be expected with car this age. The soft vinyl convertible top cover is missing 2 of the 26 snaps but still adequately covers the stowed top. From 15' away the car is dead sharp. It receives compliments. thumbs up. and turns heads everywhere it goes. Your options are many with this car. Make it your daily driver. make it your weekend car. or take the next steps in restoration and make it your show car. An after market tow bar has been welded to the frame which made this car ideal for hauling parade floats. Mechanically the car is in very good condition. 20 years ago the original 429 cu. i. V8 motor was rebuilt and the transmission was serviced. The motor and transmission run well. The transmission shifts as it should. It has that traditional "cushy" Cadillac ride these cars are famous for. This is a very nice. straight. solid tight car. The car has a fun yet quality feel to it. This car has always been has been well maintained. RECENT WORK: (4) brand new tires with less than 800 miles. new distributor. and new carburetor. This is a bid to win auction. I will not end the auction early. If you want to buy the car. bid on it. but only bid if you intend on following through with the transaction. The car is priced to sell. I want to sell this car. not play games. Car will not be released until paid in full funds have cleared my bank. A $500 deposit (not refundable) is due within 48 hours of the auction closing.
