Description for Cadillac DeVille 1967
Southgate auto center is proud to offer this 1967 Cadillac Deville convertible for your enjoyment. We purchased this car from a gentlemen that had it parked in his garage for over 10 years. We purchased the car and ran it through our shop to have all the mechanics checked out. We discovered that the gentleman who purchased the vehicle had redone all the brakes including brake lines and shoes as well as the wheel cylinders. The engine has been replaced with a newer model engine, we believe to be a 68-69 model, and rebuilt approximately eight years ago and runs beautifully. Car has not had very many miles put on it since it's rebuild. They estimated less than 20,000 miles put on the car after the rebuild. The interior is all original with the exception of the front seat. We ordered a new factory reproduction in genuine leather to match the original cover. We have noticed that the body has had at least one repaint in the past. There are a couple of small dents in the driver side front fender that are negligible. There are also a couple bubbles in the paint just above the fender skirt and on the left corner of the trunk lid. The rear seat appears to be in excellent shape. The carpet was very old and stained so we replaced the carpeting in the car with new original equipment carpeting The car has a non- original 472 V8 (68-69 model) and original automatic transmission. The tires were old and weatherworn so we replaced them with a new set. All the windows work from the drivers door, but are a little slow. The convertible top motor has gone bad and we have ordered a new one for it, it has not yet arrived, and will be installed as soon as it arrives, and before shipping. It does go down and up manually at present time. The top appears to be in good serviceable condition with no holes or tears in it, but will need to be replaced in the near future. This is basically a survivor and has not been restored. These cars when restored are bringing well into the $30,000 range. We are offering this car as a daily driver that you can enjoy for a nominal price, and we have set the reserve very low for a car in this condition. We have checked and all the lights work as do the turn signals and brake lights. The odometer works, the radio does come on but we believe the speakers are bad. We have sold many cars on eBay for over 15 years, and are very proud of our 100% rating. It is very hard to sell used cars and maintain that rating if you miss represent your vehicle. We offer shipping assistance and you may call us at 865-805-3186 with any questions you may have. We have a good clear title. You should have many years of service before any thing is needed. The trunk has been re-carpeted by us and appears as it did when new. Our shop will be happy to preform any up grades you may desire before delivery and an addition fee. I.e. New sound system etc.
