Description for Cadillac Eldorado 1978

1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz ONE OWNER, EXTENSIVE DOCUMENTATION ONLY 63,500 MILES FROM NEW VIDEO WITH LISTING VIN: 6L47S8Q250648 Paint: Colonial Yellow (54) Trim: Antique Light Yellow Pillow Leather (504) Engine: Carbureted 7.0L 425ci V8 (S-code) Exterior: - Please see the video along with the listing, as every blemish on the car is shown close-up and in direct sunlight. Blemishes are limited to just some cracking on the plastic bumper moldings. - Factory power sunroof is functional. - Body is nice and straight, with no dents or dings. - Paint is in... excellent shape throughout. This car has seen one repaint over the course of its life in the correct Colonial Yellow. Paint was done to a high standard and presents extremely well. We put an elcometer on every panel and got readings of 6.0-10.0, consistent with one repaint, and did not see any evidence of filler or prior metal work of any kind. - White top is in very nice shape, with only very minor signs of any age. - Chrome is excellent throughout. No oxidation or damage. - Wheels are in great shape, with no curb rash. A couple minor paint blemishes (highlighted in the video), but nothing too significant. - Glass and light lenses are all clear and crack-free. Interior: - Interior is phenomenal. Truly time-capsule-like. Banana Creme leather, as we've been calling it. All powered systems are functional. This includes but is not limited to: original radio, air conditioning, fan/heat, analog clock, all gauges, all interior and exterior lights, locks, seat adjusts, windows, and soft-close trunk. - Pillow leather seats are in great shape. No burst seams or tears, no major scuffs or stains. Extremely soft and comfortable. Rear seats are like-new. - Headliner is tight and clean. - Original carpeting is in pretty good shape. There are a couple small stains in the rearward center of the front carpet from where the previous owner once had a handheld radio mounted to the floor. These are situated pretty much underneath the front seats, so they are not visible unless you're looking for them. The car will also come with two sets of floormats, one beige and Cadillac branded, the other black rubber. - Dash is mint both on top and facing the driver. Wood doesn't show any aging. The previous owner stuck a compass to the top of the dash, which we left in place. Under the Hood / Underbody: - S-code 7.0L 425ci V8 is original to the car, and is in tremendous working order. This car has been babied since new by its singular owner and it shows. Truly drives like-new. Absolutely no tendencies of any concern whatsoever. The car has new shocks at all four corners and the ride is fantastic. Tight and responsive, yet still cushy and forgiving like these 70s Cadillacs are supposed to be. The car starts right up first turn, is dead silent both at idle and at speed, doesn't stutter or hesitate at all under hard acceleration, tracks straight, and brakes very well. We haven't had to do anything to it other than change the oil. I wouldn't hesitate to fly in and drive home, regardless of destination. - The car will come with all of the original sales paperwork. This includes the owners manual, warranty booklets, service booklet with original dealer and owner delivery information, and even the business card of the gentleman who sold it when new. The car will also come with a small bottle of touch-up paint and a couple spare ignition and trunk keys. - Underbody is in excellent shape. Floors and frame rails are in great shape. Nothing more than superficial surface rust on a couple suspension components. This car was undercoated from new and it has served its purpose, plus the car has been garage-kept since new. We actually have the Bodyguard receipt and warranty from when the car was undercoated in 1978! Overall, this is an extremely nice one-owner Biarritz that is in need of nothing. It runs and drives beautifully, AC is cold, radio is functional. Drive home with confidence. With any further questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing, please reach out to Jake at 773-273-8257.
