Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1969
Hello and thanks for looking at my 1969 Stingray. This is a numbers matching Stingray. I have owned this car for 9 years. It is not a trailer queen. but a good example of a stock Stingray with headers. This car has not seen the rain once in 9 years. It has not given me any problems since I purchased it. not one. I strongly believe this car has 71. 45 original miles. but I can't verify this with 100% certainty. I have driven this car approximately 1. 00 miles in nine years to local car shows and just around my town to keep things lubricated. When I purchased this car I had the M-21. 4- speed. close ratio transmission completely rebuilt with all new parts. I put on all new hoses and gaskets as soon as the car was delivered. It now needs the left side header gasket replaced. This gasket became dry from sitting in my climate controlled garage. I believe the vacuum lines may have dried some. as I hear a little vacuum leak. This Stingray rides very well for a Corvette of this year. It doesn't really have the squeaks and hard ride associated with these antique Corvettes. The undercarriage is in great shape and very clean. minus a little dust. No rust issues here! This car still has the factory original Astro Ventilation windows. I will try to get a picture of the undercarriage if able. I would prefer that potential buyers come and check out the car to see how well it has been maintained. This Stingray is a T-Top car with the removable back window and factory alarm system. The tires are in excellent condition and the wheels are factory as well. The tumblers in the key slot are shot and it doesn't require a key to crank the car. This is a minor fix. The car handles very well and has a very potent engine that runs well. I use Z-Max oil additive in all of my cars. old and new. The engine bay is clean and in very good condition. It's not chromed out. but very stock. The seats are black leather and in very nice condition without any tears. holes etc. It has a leather arm rest and a big block hood. Someone told me that it is the LT-1 hood. I can't say for sure. The pictures will show this. I don't have the original hood. I don't see any cracks in the dash at all. The door panels are in very nice shape for the age without any cracks or blemishes. The carpet is in very nice shape as well. This is a "very" reliable Stingray that can be driven anywhere. As for the negatives. the car has an older paint job and a couple of blemishes on the hood which I will show in pictures. It also has a blemish in the fiberglass behind the driver side. which I will show in the pictures as well. The brakes could use a little attention which I will try to address prior to shipping. This car needs nothing major. just some TLC that I don't have time to provide. It also needs two Corvette emblems on the valve covers. The present emblems were old but worn so I removed them years back. The air cleaner also needs the 350/350 sticker. The car has a S. C. title that I never changed over since Georgia doesn't require a title from any car of this age. I also have a Georgia 2014 tag and tag receipt. If you have any questions. please feel free to contact me. I take pride in being completely honest. Whoever buys this Stingray won't have any surprises. As with any old car. things do need attention from time to time. but I've described the car exactly as I see it. Good luck bidding! I've put a very fair reserve on this auction. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I will assist in anyway I can. Payment must clear my bank before I will release this car. I'll accept cash. bank or cashier's check. I've never done Paypal. but I would try if this is your only means. I require a $1. 00. 00 good faith non-refundable deposit no later than 24 hours after the auction ends. This is a NO RESERVE auction. so the highest bidder wins! Thanks again and good luck! Bud 706-983-0357
