When I was in elementary school I remember being constantly mesmerized by a poster in our classroom of a Beautiful 1969 Corvette Convertible dawned in a stunning shade of Lemans Blue! There were actually days that I couldn't wait to get there just so I could feast my eyes on the poster again (that may have actually been the only reason I wanted to go)!

Although I'm all grown up I am still thrilled every time I get a chance to see that same sweet machine!

However some days it's hard to believe that it is actually in my garage" !

Only if my teacher could see me now!

A while back I talked to a friend of mine in the Mid West who happened to attend an auto show!

He and another gentleman began to discuss their thoughts about the 2015 Corvette. The person that he was engaged in conversation with shared the fact that he was an avid Corvette enthusiast and a collector.

He stated (what most people feel anyway) that though he had mixed feelings about the new Corvette it still was nothing like the classic models.

As the conversation progressed he also mentioned the fact that he was considering selling a couple of the Corvettes he owned. The proceeds would be spent on his daughter's wedding and several other things he was obligated to do.

Needless to say my friend took the guys phone number and contact information. When my friend and I met a few days later he told me about his encounter & passed the guys information on to me.

I in turn "contacted the potential selling party"& set up an appointment to view the car (the rest is history)!
 

When I arrived at this particular gentlemen's residence for an initial inspection I was extremely impressed with all four cars that he kept in his private collection. That being said two of the four retained a special place in his heart!

They were also the two most intriguing cars to me.

The first one was a split window Corvette with 37k miles on it (that he refused to sell) and the other was the car that you see pictured here.
 

When the car cover was taken off I could not hold back my true sentiments about it!

The car was & is absolutely STUNNING!!!

One of the first things that I found out was that the car happened to be a two owner vehicle!

This was a true special find! It was a car that had not been passed around like most of the classic cars on the market today. The majority of vehicles today don't receive special attention. Most vintage vehicles go from hand to hand like the ones you see in the large classic car auctions!

It was refreshing to know that some people still cherish their vintage cars and care for them the way they should be.

I actually have the title that shows this car hasn't changed hands since 1985 when he purchased it!!!

He actually bought the car from the original owner who ordered the car new! I have a great deal of records that accompany the sale of the car as well (but more about that later).

At any rate this extremely nice 1969 Corvette had been stored in a heated garage & not driven much over the last few years.

As the owner and I talked more about the car (while walking around it) "The more I liked it" ! I couldn't imagine leaving without it" !

I truly believe that the person who wins this car will LOVE IT!

This vintage Corvette has only been painted once outside of its original covering!

As you can see here the exterior is simply breathtaking! The Corvettes Lemans Blue exterior will not allow you to have your attention drawn anywhere else!

From bumper to bumper this beautiful coke bottle styled convertible looks incredible!

The second owner went into great detail about how picky the craftsman was who took on the task on painting the car.

This particular body man only took on certain projects. He believed that a car had to be of a certain caliber for him to take on the job of painting it.

Most jobs that he performed took several weeks to a month to complete! This one was no different (approx. a month).

Although frustrated with the expense of the paint job the second owner and basically everyone else agrees that it was worth the wait & what it cost.

He actually displayed the invoice paid in full to Custom Classics. The final bill was over $9000 but, econd best for him just wouldn't do!

Let me assure you "this vintage Chevys exterior is extremely nice" ! !!

The brilliant Blue finish simply blinds you in direct sunlight & seems to glow at night!
 

The exterior is smooth to the touch & free from any damage! I have been called a perfectionist by almost everyone.

Whether I am guilty of being so can be disputed but, hatever the case may be I am giving the vehicle two thumbs up!

This is certainly a Corvette that must be seen in person to truly be appreciated!

If you are not a people person or not someone who likes to engage in conversation "this vehicle is not for you" ! !!

People from everywhere at every corner will be waving & asking questions when you park! It will become common place to have random strangers taking pictures with their cell phone!!

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!

This wonderful little Corvette also has an amazing white soft top that really brings the cars exterior to life even more!

The Blue & white contrast is truly striking!

The canvas top is in excellent condition.

It was replaced a short time ago by Top Stitch Interiors in St. Louis Mo.

The replacement top is one of the best on the market.

As you continue to survey this Corvettes exterior you'll notice the original chrome bumpers that are still shining bright!

This is yet more evidence that this vehicle was sheltered throughout its life!

All of the exterior markers look great and mirror is in great shape as well!

Before this sports car left the craftsmans possession each and every emblem was replaced (looks awesome)!

It would be a sin not to mention this sports cars hallmark & staple polished side vents!

Each and every one has been restored to its natural beauty ...not a single scratch on any of them (looks fantastic)!!!

To sum it all up at the end of the day what you have here is an investment grade Corvette that looks incredible from all angles!!!

Now that we have talked about the exterior lets discuss the interior a bit.

Upon opening the door of this classic sports car you will find a nearly mint interior!

The seat covers are damage free & in great shape! The bright blue upholstery looks incredible & complements the exterior nicely!

There are no rips, tains or damage to either bucket. Again this car has been taken care of by people who actually cared for it!
 

The carpet is also in like wonderful condition. Both of the previous owners were not smokers.

The carpet throughout (front & cargo) is free from stains, tc. VERY PRESENTABLE
!

Every stitch of the upholstery inside has been either restored or replaced. The matte blue door panels have been protected and maintained throughout the cars lifetime.

Both panels look great & still have their original door locks, etainer clips & handles.

"Keeping with the interior theme"you can expect to find an extremely nice dash nestled inside. This dash pad is in pristine condition and also in original to the car!

This Corvette has a functioning radio in place.
 

This vintage Vette has a nice center console & emergency brake handle!

The door sills are in fantastic condition and the steering wheel looks like it's been wrapped in plastic since 1969! 

All of the gauges are clear & present (most are working).
 

This beautiful Corvette looks as good inside as she does out!

The cockpit is also nice & quiet thanks in part to the sound deadener material that was installed before the carpet was laid.

Every detail regarding this car has been addressed.

All & all I think that this vehicle is well rounded from bumper to bumper!

Here you have the total package a stunning Lemans Blue low mileage Roadster ready for the local car show or your personal garage!

Hard to beat & a Blast to drive!

Let's continue by getting right into the fun stuff! I am talking about the heart and soul of every Corvette!

Of course at this time we are discussing the cars power plant!

This vehicle came equipped with a 350 engine block from the factory.

The block in this vintage Chevy was rebuilt 3 years ago and is believed to be original.

Please don't bother asking me to hunt for numbers on this engine. It's not important to me and probably won't happen.

The motor in the car has been meticulously maintained and it is in excellent running condition!

Preventative & routine maintenance has been aggressively addressed! This beauty RUNS STRONG!!!!

This Bow Tie has plenty of new parts..... it would be foolish to try to list them all.

The car is extremely user friendly.

It starts with little to no effort!

It is truly a pleasure to drive.

I personally took the car to have the oil changed a couple of weeks ago at a local dealership. After service was rendered I hit the freeway to blow the cobwebs out.

During my 50 mile pleasure cruise the car performed like a champ! This is the type of vehicle that will make you want to never go home!

Again if you are looking for an amazing investment vehicle that is fun to own & guaranteed to appreciate "look no further" !

The rebuilt engine block is putting out approximately 350 horse power!

Putting that power to the pavement is made simple thanks in part to the original bullet proof four speed transmission!

The vehicle has plenty of power & torque "shifts incredibly smooth" !

The clutch, ressure plate & throw out bearing are in excellent shape & the gears engage with ease!

All the new owner has to do is "get in and start enjoying their new toy" !

This Corvette is extremely dependable & runs better than she looks!

This vintage roadster gets gold stars in several departments!

Nothing was really overlooked concerning this car!

Nothing has been overlooked regarding this 69 rag top!

The suspension has been restored and the car handles wonderfully!

There seems to be quite a large contingent of Corvette enthusiast who will go the extra mile when restoring a classic Corvette. However one of the most important aspects of the restoration process that seems to be neglected (whether intentional or unintentional) is the restoration of the suspension.

Failure to give proper attention in this department can not only result in poor handling of the vehicle "it can cause a myriad of other issues" !

The good news here is that this Corvettes suspension has been serviced professionally!

Many if not all of the front end components has been replaced with quality reproductions parts!

The vehicle tracks wonderfully down the road. The car also corners very well thanks in part to new rear leaf springs!

The leaf springs were ordered from Corvette Central. The particular springs that were ordered are of superior quality & are preferred by most Corvette enthusiast

(Bloomington Gold Standard)!

Driving this one is more than enjoyable!

There has been a plethora of semi related suspension parts replaced as well!

Finally the nostalgic wide track stance of this Corvette couldn't be made possible without the aid of the factory 15x8 inch Ralley wheels!

This vintage Vette looks incredible from all angles!

The wheels are date coded & in excellent shape!

This set of Ralley wheels are adorned with new beauty rings, tems & lugs!

As if it couldn't get any better!

The wheels are matted to a set of brand new "super sharp"Cooker Red line performance radials!

These tires do not have 20 miles on them!

The red line tires add just the right touch "nothings looks better on a classic Corvette" !  

Last but not least I would like to mention that this Corvette has a complete new exhaust system!

The car has a nice rumble that is evident with slightest twist of the key!

The chambered exhaust system was installed at Chicago Performance and tuning "this top notch system sounds amazing but also provides excellent performance" !

This vintage Vette has the acceleration & boost of a big block! Must be driven to truly appreciate it!!!

There has been a grand effort put forth to make this sports car a very respectable antique roadster! There has been an untold amount of man time & money spent preserving it.

This is a great opportunity for someone to own a sharp Vintage Corvette reasonably!

This sort of opportunity does not present itself often!

Although you may find these cars here & there "it is rare to find a limited ownership vehicle that has been pampered the way this one has!
