This 1961 Chevrolet Bel air two door sedan. The resto mod platform was used on this one and in a great way! The rust free body is super nice and very straight finished in Chestnut pearl on top and the factory GM Fawn on the bottom. Staying with the trends of today the top color is matte finished with a neatly broken line at the top body line. (The pictures do not do the paint justice)The chrome and britework is very nice on the car also and looks to be mostly original. The car was a very good original rust free car to begin with. The undercarraige is very clean and neat also. The powerplant is a low mile LS1 backed by a 6 speed manual transmission. During the transplant no stone was left unturned. the builder choose a 9 inch rear axle with 3:73 gearing and a posi unit. The suspension was rebuilt up front also using lowering springs. a big front sway bar and disc brakes. On the rear CPP tubular control ams were used along with lowering springs with built in air springs for a great ride. The car has a great stance but rides like a car that has not been lowered. The new Billet Specialties 20x10 and 18x8 inch wheels are wrapped in new radials and ride wonderfully. On the inside the car is very nice also. the seats. headliner and carpeting are all new. The door panels are originals and are still very good. The car is very comfortable to drive and gets great fuel mileage. We drove the car from Columbus Ohio to Nashville on one tank of fuel.
