Description for Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 1961
Up for sale is a 1961 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door sedan. This is an on going project. The car came from South Carolina. It was on a frame machine to make sure the frame was true. New brake shoes, wheel cylinders and master cylinder. 4 new stock type shocks All the mechanics are all done. The heart of the car is a Fresh 1965 409 engine bored .040, standard crank,11.0 to 1 pistons, 2.190 intake valves, 1.720 exhaust, hardened seats and bronze guides. Isky 425 hp, solid cam lifters, springs, retainers and keepers. Cloys chain and sprockets. High volume oil pump. Tilton starter. Doug's tri Y coated headers, 10 1/2" diaphragm clutch, Mallory dual point distributor. New engine and transmission mounts. 2 1/2" flow master style exhaust. New radiator and rebuilt water pump. The transmission is a Saginaw 4 speed with a Hurst straight line shifter. The rear is stock. The body is near rust free and very straight. The floor pans have some minor rust and 1 floor support needs some attention. The drivers door has a small spot of rust. Look at the pictures and see for yourself. There is a trunk load of new parts to finish the car. Door and trunk rubber, 1 gallon of paint, tail lights, proper 4 speed boot and floor mount, kick panels to name a few. I have a complete 3 piece front bumper (driver quality) with all the brackets and an additional California 1 piece bumper. The lower front valances are included. This is a running and driving car. Very reliable and road worthy. All the lights and emergency brake work. The heater core has been checked and is good. It just needs to be hooked up. All the heater cables operate like they should.Look and see what a rebuilt 409 motor cost's today. My buy it now has been reduced to $18,500. This is a great deal for the right person. My lack of time forces the sale. The car is sold with a current Connecticut registration and a bill of sale. If you have any questions or if you would like to see this car in person feel free to contact me either through Ebay or call 203-927-2721.
