In ’55 Chevy gave their car a whole new look and it was an instant hit that remains one of the most iconic cars every built. The one we have for you is done in Tuxedo Black with the old school roll and pleat interior. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior. interior. and heartbeat of the Chevy. but first we would like to tell you a little about us. Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned. operated. and own our entire inventory. no consignments. and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So. that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. When you look down the sides of this ’55 they are straight with good lines. At the time of the resto they installed new bumpers as well as other trim. All the stainless looks good with good fit. The panels all line up good with good fit of the doors and fenders. Everything is covered in the Tuxedo Black paint that shows well with a good with a deep rich shine. The jams and inside the trunk all look good as well. When you look at the glass it all shows well with the side glass working as they should. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” Chrome Coys. Next. we will take a look at the interior of the ’55. The inside is done in the old school style with it being roll and pleat. It’s all black vinyl with bench seat. The carpet and headliner is also done in black. When you look at the dash it’ looks correct with the factory column shift and factory steering wheel. Finally. we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it’s clean and neat without being overdone. It has a 350 V8 that’s dressed with an aluminum intake and polished aluminum valve covers. It retains the stock manifolds with dual exhaust and flows. It has HEI Ignition. The trans is a 350 Turbo that is mated to the stock rear end. When you look under this ’55 it looks solid with good floors and braces.
