Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1964
1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible For Sale in Falmouth, assachusetts 02540
Get a jump on top-down summer fun by purchasing my 1964 Corvette Convertible. It’s a 3-owner car, hich I’ve owned since 1991 (25 years!). Original options include power steering, eather seats, M-FM Radio, -Speed, nd the 327-300 engine. For the first 15 years of my ownership, chipped away at deferred maintenance while enjoying it as a weekend cruiser and displaying it a local shows. Since it was still fairly original, n 2007 I started prepping the car for NCRS judging. Most of the car's major components are now back to correct per NCRS Standards. I have photo documented most of the numbers and dates on the car, nd have over $46K of receipts for labor and materials. I am confident to say that this car is probably more numbers matching than many cars advertised as such (this is why I prefer to say it is NCRS correct). I reunited the car with its original owner in 2009, o its history is well known.
The paint dates from 1983. There is some road rash, ut its luster is holding up well as can be seen in the pictures. The second owner renewed the rear wheel bearings and U-joints in 1987. The interior was renewed in 1989. The instruments were restored in 1993. Most of the interior and exterior chrome was renewed in the early 1990s. All of the rubber suspension components and the brakes have been renewed during my ownership. The clutch was replaced in 2007. The engine was rebuilt in 2011, nd now has about 9700 miles on it. A dated Al Knock top was installed in 2012. The chassis is very rust free since it was a southern car up to 1996. Under my ownership it has always been garaged. As you can see from the pictures, he car's condition belies its age!
Everything works on the car except the odometer, hich stopped in 2007 - I have logged about 16,000 more miles since it stopped. The ammeter tries to work. Other than trivial items, he only noteworthy non-stock items are a dual-circuit master cylinder and a Vette Brakes GT Handling package.
I consider the car to be "an older restoration or well-maintained original." The car is well sorted and reliable, nd has no mechanical or electrical needs. I never hesitate to take it on long trips. My asking price is less than the "GOOD" value in the July 2015 Corvette Magazine Price Guide, nd less than a calculated "CONDITION 2-1/2" from the latest Hagerty Price Guide. By the way; all the stuff that will convey with the car will not fit in the car, o bring another vehicle to carry all the extra parts, tc.
This car is a must see and drive! Please call (844) 814-9388 for more information.
