Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1964
Up for sale (possible trade?) is a real 1964 Chevy Corvette Stingray convertible! It's a 327V8/4 speed car but now has a 1969 Chevy 350-4bolt/Muncie 4 speed setup. Non-running/driving currently - been sitting for 10+yrs. Car was upgraded sometime back with the correct later year's C2 big block hood & side pipe exhaust! Also features the hard to find hardtop (in good condition). and of course under that is the soft top frame (all there). This car will require at a minimum - fiberglass work on the front valence/quarters/front fender (light hit) & paint. front bumpers. Interior is ok. Hardtop is ok. Soft top needs to be replaced. Mechanically going to require some weekends to do brakes/lines/get engine fired/check tranny. etc. Needs fuel tank - rusty (and no sign of build sheet) -- but that would get you just a #4 condition driver car but it is do-able. My plans were to have a frame-off resto to clean frame & any other hidden rust (replace all mounts/redo front end. etc. ) & then drop a 427 to clone it. The car is currently waiting it's turn for resto (my 1971 Cuda 340 is being restored now). as you can see I'm a mopar guy. If you have a muscle mopar 1965-71 (especially ragtop) of equal value - let me know. Otherwise. this is for sale outright so I can shop for the car I really want to do this spring. If it doesn't sell here on ebay - I will simply keep it & restore it. This car was a stolen/recovered theft in GA many. many years ago & has a clean GA state re-vin + registration/tags. I will sell the car with current registration + bill of sale. This gets you a title (if you are located in a title state). The car rolls/steers & is stored in the shop. If you want to see it - give me a few days notice. Otherwise. these pictures should give you a good idea of what it is & what it needs. I fully expect to get a million "What's my BIN. cash. yada yada". please make an offer - your strongest offer that you can afford & I will consider pulling the listing with a deposit. Otherwise. simply bid on the car & we'll see what happens when the auction ends. If the auction ends w/o reserve/sale - I'm simply keeping it & it might be back here as a #2 condition 427 clone for quite a few dollars more :)Thanks!
