Description for Chevrolet Chevelle 1969
Here we have a 1969 Chevelle Malibu 350/300hp one owner Virginia car. This car is a true garage/barn find that was found sitting in dry garage storage for over 30 years. It was last state inspected in 1981. This car is fully documented with original title, window sticker, dealer sales sheet, protect-o-plate, and original receipts.Car: 350/300hp, Muncie 4-spd, 12 bolt, A/C, bench seat, 51E Dusk Blue, white top and black vinyl interior, AM radio.
Condition: Car is almost completely rust free with exception of minor rust on seams of rear deck lid filler panel and behind the driver's side rear tire (maybe the size of a business card on outer skin only). The car was sanded down to bare metal and primed 30 years ago. The floors and the rest of the car is rust free including around the front and rear windows. Glass is all in excellent condition, windshield is cracked. The interior is in excellent original condition including the headliner, door panels and dash pad. The previous owner removed the rear quarter and sail panels to redo the package tray and are included.
Engine/drive train: 350/300hp 4bolt main with Muncie 4spd. Drive train is complete matching number originals. Because the car was sitting for so long, rather than chance damaging the engine, it was pulled and inspected. Engine was found to need new rings and gaskets/seals. The bearings were all still good and reused. Engine was spotless inside for age and well maintained. Engine runs well with good oil pressure.
Trim/parts included: All original trim for lower rocker, vinyl top, windshield, back window, grill, rear panel, emblems, hood edge, rain gutters. NOS GM parts include: tail panel upper and lower trim, one new door rocker trim, 4 wheel well moldings and inner and outer window fuzzies. Original steel wheels and near perfect dog dish caps included.
Car truly is a time capsule with the right mix of original and period correct "day two" parts such as 70's 14" American Trans Products wheels, column tach green line gauges and 8-track player. Body is as solid, rust and accident free as you can find and will save you thousands in metal repair and replacement panels that do not fit. Please let me know if you have any questions.
