Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1968
Ladies, gentlemen
You're about to bid on an original L71 (427/435 ) 1968 British Racing Green Stingray Corvette with all matching numbers, dates and casting numbers. It is hooked to the original M21 transmission. Under the original fibreglass skin resides mechanical improvements to enhance reliability, driving pleasure experience, performance and ultimate road manners.
To name a few, wheels are a replica of the original Corvette 15 X 7 but in a 16 inches version to accommodate Wildwood High Performance disk brakes units on all corners and 235-60-16 inches American Classic red line tires.
Cooling has been improved also with an aluminum radiator with 2 electric fans to sustain any warm temperature and mind free day to day in traffic driving if desire. Suspension was also improved if you look at pics with large swaybar . Same applies also to engine oil cooling with an added larger oil pan. Shifter was upgraded with a Hurst one keeping the original handle and operational modus operandi.
Since it comes from the Golden State you will bid on a dry car with an incredible underneath, again as pics will demonstrate.
Paint and interior are in a very nice condition. Complimentary options include power windows, power steering, original look a like digital AM/FM radio for an upgraded sound. Has the original M21 transmission and rear end. The painted to match hard top will be part of the deal also. Note that all the interior wiring was redone to ensure all gages and bulbs proper lightening. Fiber optic is also functional.
Numbers are:
BLOCK=3916321
HEAD VALVE=3919840
INTAKE WINTER=3919852
Since engine block was decked at an earlier stage when rebuilt, the remaining scripts/suffixes
are not fully readable to certify that this is the original block to the car but nothing proves
otherwise. (but it is according to it's present owner).
Naturally larger sway bars, half shafts and differential full body connectors are presents.
This caris not mine and I am listing it for a client.Please contact me for any needed information at 418.569.5863. I will gladly return any request.
