Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1969
Nice '69 4-speed convertible in hard to find Monaco Orange. Car could almost be considered a "Survivor" due to it's basically original condition.Everything is there including the original jack.
Lots of original paint- with jambs being untouched. Original VIN tag/decal in driver's door is clean and untouched. No collision damage.
Interior is original and in very good condition. (Headrests are included.)
Frame and undercarriage in very nice condition. No rust. Car was apparently garage kept all it's life.
Paint has various spots where over-buffing has burned edges. Also has some chips here and there that you would expect for it's age, and there are rub marks on deck lid from a previous hard top.
Front suspension has been upgraded with new upper and lower control arms (urethane bushings), shocks, springs, and new steering linkage. Rear suspension has also been updated accordingly.
New gas tank.
New soft top.
Tilt / Tele steering wheel.
Engine and heads have been completely rebuilt with less than 2000 miles on them. (Originally an L46 car) Although engine is stamped with correct VIN it might not be original to the car, but is period correct.
Block : 3970010, date code : "L".
Heads : 3970126
Intake manifold : 3927184
Carb : 07029207
Trans : P9K08A, 3925660, 195730409, 3946797
Differential : AP 12 2 65
Trans and rear also have been rebuilt at some point.
Fiber optics, lights, and wipers all work as they should.
* Car has not seen any water damage. Doesn't even show that it's been exposed to rain based on the condition of the undercarriage. None of the usual '69 through '72 front nose rivet bulging, and that in itself tells you how dry it's been kept throughout it's life.
If you look at the last picture of under the dash you can see no rust or oxidation on the birdcage where they usually rust.
