1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Real Deal V8 2dr Sedan. Originally a Green two tone Hyland Green/Surf Green car with Green Interior. Last registered in 1994. The previous owner had started working on it prior to getting sick. It appears to have a new complete floor plan. solid trunk pan. Pass quarter and inner well replaced. The previous owner also put a Ford 9" rear end in it but kept the leaf springs and also added disc brakes to the front with dual mater cylinder. The hood has been customized with an air scoop. It has been done nicely and with minor prep could be painted. The body itself is in primer. done by the previous owner and I'm not sure what's under it but it appears to not have any rust holes that were filled or anything like that. The body is pretty straight but of course will need some work. The gas tank has a new filler nozzle and has been tested for leaks. All the exterior trim is here. including the stainless and Bel air stainless fins. All the interior handles. knobs. etc are there including the clock. All exterior bumpers are there and all original but pitted. I have a brand new transmission cross member to accommodate a 700R4. 4l60 or 4L85 transmissions. I have the seat springs for the front and back as well as the front tracks. Will need foam and upholstery. The Passenger door window is cracked and the side vent windows have the usual bubbling but all the other glass looks great. You're welcome to come out and look at it prior to bidding. its a perfect start to a collectible icon. This is a Blue Chip investment car and if sone right they bring a whole lot of money. There isn't an original engine and trans but I have an Optional Duramax Diesel and 4L85E transmission complete with wiring harnesses ready to be dropped in if interested. You could always go original. or drop in a LS like everyone else or do something different with a 2007. 5 Duramax LMM TURBO Diesel and 4 speed auto which can get you 400 horsepower and 30 miles to the gallon right out the gate. Get a tune done and the power can be endless!
