Description for Chevrolet Blazer 1975

1975 Blazer K5 Custom Deluxe CONVERTIBLE

1975 Blazer K5 Custom Deluxe by second owner. YES, the model with the 'sunroof', removable. This suv is the original and is in excellent running condition with a restored, reinforced body. Currently running '75 vintage motor [not the original], 4-bolt main smallblock w/HEI, Q-jet carb. Dual exhausts. [mufflers in good condition.] Replacement radiator. New brake system..
Many original options, including running boards, roll bar [orig. owner put it on its side in the woods and got the bar], HD rear bumper w/integral hitch, dual battery setup, HUBS [to relieve fulltime 4wd].

Interior in good shape with original upholstery [rear seat moved to side to allow long cargo]. Original floors replaced, rear floor by 1/4 in diamond plate. New fenders with liners. Original orange color on hood and tailgate replaced by Rustoleum black to match fenders. Paint is in excellent condition, having been done shortly before the vehicle was stored. Tho' not fashionable, it can be rubbed out and brought to a shine.

Original 350TH trans. Mileage less than 150k. Never used for plowing, so frame excellent. New BFG Wrangler all-season tires. Vehicle stored the past dozen years, put back on the road this summer.
The vehicle life has been on 2-lane highways and forestry & logging roads, in heavy snow country. No known freeway use, but it is 'comfortable' cruising along at 60/65. One of the great reliable vehicles for off-road reliability, i.e. getting you into the deep woods AND back out again. Unfortunately, life in this area requires heaving salting, so there has been/is rust going on. As mentioned, most body panels have been replaced at least once, and the entire rear floor has been replaced by heavy diamond-plate steel.
This is one of the best examples of this model existing, approaching classic status. It needs no rebuilding/repair, but there's lots of rusty bits that you can replace if you so desire. It would benefit from a modern powerful smallblock upgrade, but the one in it will last as they do if properly maintained. If you are considering a restore project on similar vehicle, this one will save you thousands of dollars and millions in the related aggravation, as it is ready to roll.
