*Barn Find* Classic 1968 Chevrolet Chevy Truck Custom LWB. It has a special factory ordered 396 cu in big block chevy engine. PS. PB & A/C. It's a great running truck. it does not smoke or knock & the transmission shifts smoothly. It drives straight & does not pull left or right & no slop in the steering. The 396 engine has headers & it is a brute & is strong & is fast. As you can see from the pics I have left the engine has to how I found it. I have not repainted anything under the hood. Has no body rust. just some surface rust in some areas. However it does need a paint job. the paint is faded & is peeling in some areas. It looks as if it's been painted maybe once or twice before I got it. Has clear Texas title & current tags & registration & passed Texas inspection. (All new interior - new seat: upholstery & foam. carpet. seat belts. chrome door sill plates. arm rests. dash pad. brake & gas pedals. steering wheel. glove box liner. A/C & heater controls & heater duct hoses. weather stripping around the doors & windows. 200watt AM/FM MP3 Stereo with dash speaker & 2 kicker panel speakers with enclousers. courtesy light with new wiring & clear lens. Refurbished dash panel & gauges with LED lights. The speedometer works great too. no bouncing needle & the gas gauge works great too. Wipers work good as well as the wiper washer squirters). New Holley Street Avenger 680 cfm carburetor & chrome air cleaner & breather. new duel exhaust with a set of Flowmasters 40's series. a new sending unit in the gas tank. nbsp;new front shocks. new front brakes & new master cylinder. new headlights. new rear bumper. new cowl to hood seal. new wiring harness gutter for firewall & radiator support. new rear tail light lens & housing. All the wood has been replaced in the bed with new wood & new metal strips & bolts. New tires & new center caps. All the wheels have been sandblasted. primed & painted with Argent silver on the front & black on the back. That's all the good stuff. Now all the not so hot stuff. Keep in mind this is a 47 year old truck & it does have it flaws. it is not perfect yet. The heater core needs to be replaced as well as the A/C compressor & the back up lights do not work. All other lights & turn signals work & the horn works. When I found this truck in a barn it was in in dire need of some TLC. I was told the original owner special ordered this truck back in 68' to pull his 5th wheel trailer with. That's why you see the primmer-ed spots on the tailgate. it looks as if he backed up too far into the 5th wheel trailer & the primmer-ed area on the right rear looks as if he jack knifed it maybe once. And to my surprise I found out that a 396 did not come standard in '68 in Chevy C-10 trucks. you could only get a 396 in 68' only by special factory order. Some of the photos are older pics & may reflect semi-restoration in progress. Like the one of the rear bumper where the tail-lights are missing.
