Description for Chevrolet Camaro 1970

More than just a real-deal Z-car, this 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has been preserved in the right places and painstakingly restored everywhere else to deliver a time capsule example of one of the most desirable muscle machine around. This was the first year for the second-gen Camaro, and so there are some exclusive features collectors love. For example, the factory-correct Camaro Gold paint was a shade only offered this year. That's why they invested nicely in a professional... respray to give this a truly precious metal finish in the sunshine. But this bright coupe also has a dark side. It has a proper RS front end with the split bumper, correct marker lights, and a large blacked-out grille â€" like a mouth ready to consume lesser cars. The dark opening also goes with the deep chin spoiler and the Z/28's black dual racing stripes. And that full-width rear spoiler is the perfect performance-minded finishing touch. While we already mentioned the front bumper, it's worth noting the mirror-like quality of the form-fitting rear one, too. The whole car really looks like straight and clean time capsule from 1970 right down to the details, like the Z/28 badging and revised Rally wheel package. Inside, the factory-correct saddle interior has a terrific level of preservation. Once again, you see 1970-only features like the low-back bucket seats. This has all the features you love, including the center console with iconic horseshoe shifter. Plus, the upgraded AM/FM radio is barely noticed in this highly-correct presentation because it's a retrosound unit. The dual-spoke RS steering wheel gives you a clear view to the large speedo and tach (and yes, this has the correct Z/28 higher redline unit.) This is a real-deal Z-car, and so it will excite you to know it has what's believed to be the original 350 cubic-inch V8 is still under the hood (it even has the correct CTC suffix code.) This tidy setup has the look of authenticity everywhere â€" from the bold paint on the block to the "Keep Your GM Car All GM" decal on the air topper. More than just a terrific presentation, you want this Z/28 because it knows how to move. These were built to dominate the Trans Am series, so you get a big four-barrel carburetor, solid lifters, and higher compression (another 1970-only desirable feature.) And the TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit built to handle this muscle. You'll love the growl this coupe makes, and you should also follow the exhaust's path in the undercarriage photos. There you'll see more authenticity, including the sports suspension, front disc brakes, and sway bars front & rear. Complete with owner's manual and build receipts, this is a very desirable year for a Z-car. So if you're looking for a true classic muscle machine, don't let this one slip away. Call now!
