1980 Chevy C-60. BARN FIND, 107 MILES!!! Not 107k, 107 total miles. I'm listing this for sale for some friends of mine. Their Dad bought it new November 3, 1979 at Harry Green Chevrolet in Clarksburg, WV . The total cost was $14993 but he received a discount of $2554. Total amount paid was $13,200. I have all the original books, bill of sale, build sheet and some other odds and ends. They were farmers and had a small saw mill. It was my understanding that they intended to put a crane and a flat bed on it but it never got to it. The truck was kept on the 2nd floor of a wood floor barn and was driven home from dealer and into town for a state inspection until 1982. The truck seldom left the barn except to wash and wax nearly once a year. Truck is equipped with a 5.7 liter, 2 barrel gas engine with a 15,000 LB heavy duty rear axle with a 2 speed axle and geared with a 6.50 ratio. Has a 5 speed transmission. The truck is a 179 inch cab and chassis with a double frame. It has the electric over hydraulic brake system. Front axle is 7,000LB with 9,000LB springs and rear springs is 20,800LB. It also has the heavy duty 9.00 by 20 wheels and tires. The tires are the original. He also had the Stainless steel wide view mirrors installed. He paid $175 extra to have the truck corrosion treated. It is so crazy to see a 40 year old truck look like this. I power washed the truck and hand waxed only. It has not been buffed or painted on. The frame and tires have Armour All on it. It has not been painted or undercoated trying to hide something. I did clean the inside and clean windows and such but it pretty much looked like this after a good power washing. I drained all the old gas and put fresh in it. The truck does lot drive, rolls and brakes work. I'm sure all of that would need gone thru before putting on the road. The motor runs but has a hesitation. It also smokes some (probably valve seals) but sounds great and has good oil pressure. It has improved but still not perfect. I cleaned the carburetor and air filter. Bidders need to remember this is a 40 year old truck. It is not perfect and has some blemishes but it is the nicest one I have seen in years. The miles are absolutely correct. I would guess to say that this is one of the nicest C-60's in the country. The tachometer is not working. Ebay would only let me load 24 pictures, even for more money. I have a 100% rating and strive hard to list stuff for what it is. This is not my truck and I'm selling for someone else. It does have a clear title, the original one from 1980 and will come with all the documentation I have along with a bill of sale. $250 good faith deposit due within 48 hours and balance due within 7 days.
