Hi eBay'ers, I have a genuine barn find 1965 Malibu SS Chevelle here - original CA black plate car!
REAL 138 SS car - full VIN is 138375Z106690 have both original BLACK PLATES RRW209 from 1965
RUNNING & DRIVING & REGISTERED / INSURED current tags until March this year!
I'm the third registered owner and the title I bought it on was the old original CA small pink title dated 1975
I have a clean and clear new CA title in my name
I have the original Protect-O-Plate POP in the original owners name
It will need a complete resto to be a show car - but it's working now and is currently registered and insured, running and driving
Previously last registered in 1985
See photos - a tree or pole or something must've fell on it a long time ago - see driver's side rear quarter damage and back roof damage that a poor repair job was started on years ago - I'm sure it's all fixable. I replaced the rear glass with a standard / non tint used one. NEW windshield installed
NO severe RUST - it is SOLID, floors great, trunk great - frame great - just surface rust / patina - would be cool to just repair the rust through in the metal back window channel(that is out but included)and reset the glass and LS it... the patch repair panel for trunk / window channel area is included. There is bondo in the roof and door, see photos.
Here's some of the fine points:
12 BOLT - unboxed arms - likely not posi - coded as 3.07:1 open ratio - I doubt internals have been swapped out.
TILT steering column
center console
bucket seats
factory SOFT RAY tinted green side glass
bumper guards
rear antenna factory hole - no antenna included
remote mirror hole - no mirror included - have the wire
250hp 327 870 block - full casting number 3872870 4 barrel base engine and PowerGlide transmission - engine original - transmission not original
original spare with partial build sheet transferred on it - with old redline F70-14 tire - that holds air
original hubcaps includedrepop F70-14 bias ply tires on car
some P-O-P info:
engine FI02EE - 250-327-4 with PG two speed
rear CX0910B - 12 BOLT ! 3.07:1 with 327
796 - ivory pattern imitation leather (turquoise trim) buckets
CCA - Ermine White exterior - with black wheels? - but spare was white - originally I'm sure - see photos.
J50 N40 - Power Brakes & Power Steering - but both removed a long time ago...?
U69 - push button AM/FM - also removed a long time ago it seems
C14 - two speed wipers & washers
have the door panels and armrests and kick panels for cores - have all of the trim.
car POP coded for PS & PB - but both seem to have been removed early on - same with the radio - seems to be coded for AM/FM - but just an AM in it now - all knobs on dash present. Looks to have been customized by some highschool kid in the past - they added blue paint to a lot of trim pieces and seem to have removed the padded dash - you can see where the holes were patched over.
original rear antenna car - I'm told only SS cars received rear antennas - the floors have the wire guides and protector under the rear seat.
Grill & bumpers nice and straight - body overall straight and largely rust free (other than shown) with original emblems.
this car is ready for a resto / or just drive it as-is or keep the patina and drop in an LS or whatever...
car was painted blue a long time ago - but never jammed - underside of trunk lid and where wheel trim was and jams still factory white.
it was clearly never restored - just maintained - there's coat hanger wire holding up the exhaust which looks original too - fully running and driving and licensed & insured.
Was sold new at De Anza Chevrolet in Riverside, California and first owner, Ellen, lived in Norco, the second owner on the 1975 pink title, Nellie, also lived in Norco.
I have three keys - doors, ignition, and glove box and there's a third for the trunk.
There are airshocks on the rear from way back too.
original Harrison radiator
EVERY tire has the original DILL 627 caps too!!
It has the original "no line" T-3 headlights too!!
Doors, trunk, and hood open and shut like they should with authority and the gaps are nice all around, as expected
Here's a partial listing of what I did to get it back to running condition - it was parked with a cracked head it seems in 1985

Car runs smooth
Some of the photos are from when I first got it before I got it running - there's a new windshield and used clear back glass in it now and the tires are used repop bias plies - F70-14 goodyear polyglas raised white letter - one photo of those.
Email with questions, thanks - it's a worthy project. Car must be picked up in Upland, CA - drive it back home.
