Description for Chevrolet Corvette 1959
The 1959 Chevrolet Corvette roadster is a true favorite among fans because it has the best of everything. This is when the first-generation styling really came together in one of the coolest packages around. So, when this fantastic presentation comes together with an enhanced dual-quad V8 heart, you know this is the classic to own.For a lot of us, the 1959 Corvette is the one to own. Four headlights up front, and the rounded rear end that retains the tailfins of the original (but in a much sleeker fashion.) It's a bit smoother this year in the overall design, and you really see that nicely in glossy black. Plus, the silver side inserts are pure class. It's a distinctive way to show off the uniform fit of the body without losing the period-correct feel. Plus, there's plenty of great brightwork with the form-hugging bumpers, toothy grille, and curvaceous trim. And we know you love the look of those upgraded polished Salt Flat wheels. Not only do they have a 17/20 inch stagger for an aggressive stance, but also the distinctive red rim around it coordinates nicely with the interior.
Red interiors always look amazing on black cars, and this one seems to look particularly well-done. There are also nice details, like the distinctive carpeting. It's a great driving setup with that unmistakable vintage feel of the big and grippy steering wheel. While the big speedometer is always nice, we especially love seeing a functioning tachometer on a manual transmission car like this one. Within the hard tonneau hides the good-looking black folding roof, and because this is from the years of full roll-up windows, keeping the weather out is quite easy. Since the C1s are famous for a proper trunk, this one look clean and complete. While everything looks very vintage, you will spot a worthwhile upgrade. An AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input is well-integrated so that you can have upgraded driving tunes in this iconic 'Vette.
The 1959 Corvette was part of those great years when Chevrolet tried to really up the performance with a dual-quad setup. This one honors the tradition, but now with more power. You're looking at two Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors, and they sit on top of an Edelbrock intake. This is feeding a 350 cubic-inch V8, which is larger than anything offered in the C1's run. It's a solid build with steel braided hoses, electric fan, MSD coil, and an MSD ignition. This mighty V8 fires up readily, and makes a terrific sound as Hooker headers feed the dual exhaust. The four-speed manual transmission puts you in firm control of all the power. And when you get it out on the street, this custom classic has the smooth feeling of a quality build.
This is the Corvette that's perfect for the car shows, but it also has all the right features that will make you skip a few events because you're having too much fun driving it. A total package classic like this won't wait for long, call today!
