Description for Chevrolet Malibu 1966
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this immaculate 1966 Chevy Malibu! This stunning example comes in a spotless lemonwood yellow paint job complemented by a clean black interior. Powering the Malibu is a professionally built 383 cubic inch stroker V8 motor mated to a built manual transmission. A ground up restoration was completed professionally to include a new Ride Tech suspension, full custom audio system with a Pioneer head unit and much much more. Not a single bolt on this example hasn't been touched. Additionally, the build has an estimated 800 miles on it. This example comes to us from the original family who bought it new in 1966 and of course has always been properly stored and maintained it. So, if you're in the market for a top tier muscle car you'll be hard pressed to find a better example out there. Please call or email us today for more information. The first Malibu was a top-line subseries of the mid-sized Chevrolet Chevelle from 1964 to 1972. Malibus were generally available in a full range of body styles including a four-door sedan, two-door Sports Coupe hardtop, convertible and two-seat station wagon. Interiors were more lavish than lesser Chevelle 300 and 300 Deluxe models thanks to patterned cloth and vinyl upholstery (all-vinyl in convertibles and station wagons), deep-twist carpeting, deluxe steering wheel and other items. The Malibu SS was available only as a two-door Sport Coupe hardtop or convertible and added bucket seats, center console (with optional four-speed manual or Powerglide transmissions), engine gauges and special wheel covers, and offered with any six-cylinder or V8 engine offered in other Chevelles - with the top option being a 300 hp (224 kW; 304 PS) 327 cu in (5.4 L) in 1964.
