Description for Chevrolet Blazer 1975
A lot of early Chevrolet Blazers get lifted sky-high for off-roading, but you don't see many like this super-cool 1975 restomod example that go the other direction. Slammed and stanced, it's a dazzling street-truck in every sense of the word, from the burly 5.3L V8 motor under the hood, to the vaporwave-style paint, and the comfortable A/C interior. This restomod Blazer is chock-full of performance upgrades and aesthetic improvements that take it up to another level that's just downright impressive. And for the price of a used Honda, this bespoke street brawler could be headed home with you today.Among the relatively rare rear-wheel-drive Blazers (meaning 2WD not 4WD), this one obviously stands out. Clearly built to be a no-compromises driver that's car-show ready, the original bodywork was straightened, smoothed and finessed to a very high level, and then a decision was made to swap-out the rather dated '75 front end in favor of the aero 'Square-Body' line of Chevy trucks and SUVs, with a '89-'91 front clip acting as donor for this particular build. The door handles were also shaved, as were all the original badges, and one-piece chrome bumpers were added fore and aft for a very trick look. After all that, the body was then coated in two-tone metallic gray and white paint that looks like it belongs on a late-model sports car, further accented with that excellent light blue pinstripe work that separates the contrasting colors and adds a ton of flash to this bespoke beast. The Blazer's chiseled good looks work well on the lowered street machine, especially with all the trim deleted and shaved handles, so it has that smooth custom look that makes the modifications really look timeless. That commanding grille and the bright headlight buckets up front smooth out the truck's profile, and the removable top shell was sanded smoothed and painted to match the color top portion of the truck. It's not a perfect finish, with a few minor imperfections that might be found upon closer examination, but it's still incredibly clean and presents better than any SUV you could buy new today, that's for certain. And if you REALLY want to make a memorable entrance, take the top off and go full convertible, because even though this is a '75 model (1973 was the final year of the full convertible factory Blazer), the rear panel was removed during the restoration to make this a bonafide, open-air cruiser.
The interior has enjoyed a full restoration as well, ranging from supportive front bucket seats with dual armrests, to the comfortable rear bench tailored in the same high-end cloth patterns, and a custom center console integrated to match the cabin's colors. This truck comes equipped with good options as well, including an ice cold A/C system, power windows and locks, an upgraded Kicker subwoofer stereo system, an aftermarket alarm system, and a tilt column, which is now topped with a nice leather-wrapped LeCarra steering wheel that looks like it belongs in a restomod Camaro. The original dash was upgraded too, featuring a fresh pad up top and billet bezels running in the center, and full set of factory gauges. A Sony AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo head unit lives in the dash and powers the upgraded speakers installed throughout the interior, and with a fully insulated cabin that features plush carpets and custom panels for the doors and rear seating/cargo area, you can actually hear the tunes that you've selected. The headliner up front is very clean and taut, the roof of the hard-top was nicely painted to match, and even the rear cargo area was finished to a high standard, which all serve as more proof that nothing was overlooked during the build of this awesome Blazer.
Under the hood, a 5.3L V8 runs the show, and it's running smooth and strong thanks to obvious signs of maintenance and care throughout. It's topped with an Edelbrock 4bbl carb and matching intake, cranks instantly thanks to an MSD ignition, and is dressed up with a custom-painted air cleaner with airbrushed flames that really steals the show inside the engine bay. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive that spins a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end out back, and even with that killer lowered stance, it still rides great thanks to smart choices in the suspension hardware underneath/ Street Performance shocks, power steering, and power front disc brakes all help with the ride quality as well, and with a Flowmaster H-pipe dual exhaust system providing the soundtrack, this baby is more Camaro than truck. 20-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels have been fitted and look fantastic inside those staggered 275/40/20 front and 295/45/20 rear performance radials.
A very cool custom truck that has obviously had a lot of time and thought invested in its build. With dialed-in mechanicals and a luxurious paint and interior combo, isn't it time you upgraded your tow rig? Call today!
